Clicks Communicator

A Keyboard Phone Ready to Be Your Main Phone

Clicks built its name by bringing physical keys back to smartphones, and the Communicator is its first Android handset. It was initially pitched as a companion to another phone, but the company has strengthened it for people who may want to use it every day. The most visible change is more memory: the planned 8GB has become 12GB of RAM without raising the early reservation price.

More Battery and a Newer Android

The Communicator will ship with Android 17 and a 4,350mAh battery, both upgrades from its original announcement. Clicks promises three operating-system upgrades and five years of security updates. Buyers can also choose a Ring bumper, Charging Covers, and cases and screen protection made with Dbrand. For US and UK customers, Clicks Mobile adds an eSIM service with two free months when activated at launch, while Clicks Care offers optional accidental-damage coverage in the US and Canada.

The Price Changes Before It Ships

The phone is scheduled to ship in December. Reservations can be converted into orders at the $499 launch price through September 30; on October 1 the price rises to a $650 MSRP. Clicks says existing buyers will receive the RAM and battery improvements without paying extra. The Communicator's appeal is a rare one in today's phone market: a real keyboard paired with current Android software and specifications meant for more than occasional backup use.
