Dell XPS Googlebook

XPS Hardware Meets Googlebook OS

The Dell XPS Googlebook brings Google's new premium laptop platform into one of Dell's best-known consumer lines. It is the first XPS designed specifically for Googlebook OS, combining a desktop experience derived from ChromeOS with native Android apps, phone integration, and Gemini Intelligence.

Snapdragon Power in a 2.2-Pound Body

A Snapdragon X Elite processor sits inside the machined aluminum chassis with 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage. The 13.4-inch 2.5K LCD is a touchscreen, battery life is rated at up to 18 hours, and the whole laptop weighs 2.2 pounds. Two USB-C 3.2 ports handle charging, DisplayPort output, and accessories.

The Glowbar Works With the Lid Closed

A Google-branded Glowbar on the lid displays charge level and charging status without opening the computer. The XPS also includes a fingerprint reader and Google's Titan C2 security chip. Android sync brings phone files, notifications, and compatible apps onto the laptop, aiming to give Android users the sort of continuity usually associated with a phone-and-laptop ecosystem from one company.

A Corrected Starting Price

The XPS Googlebook was initially announced at $1,199, but its actual starting price is $999. It reaches stores October 4, with one year of Google AI Pro and a collection of app subscriptions included for a limited time.
