HP OmniBook 5 14

An OLED Laptop at a Sensible Price

HP's OmniBook 5 14 brings a 14-inch OLED touchscreen to a $699 starting configuration, where ordinary LCD panels are still common. The 1920 x 1200 display covers the full DCI-P3 color space, giving movies, photos, and everyday Windows work a richer canvas without pushing the laptop into premium pricing.

Thin, Light, and Surprisingly Colorful

The aluminum chassis measures 11.77mm thick and weighs 2.56 pounds. Peony Pink, Starlit Blue, Smoke Silver, and Soft Honeydew finishes give it more character than the usual gray budget notebook, while a 180-degree hinge makes the slim frame a little more flexible.

Wildcat Lake Handles the Everyday Work

Configurations use Intel Core 5 320 or Core 7 350 processors with integrated graphics, up to 16GB of soldered memory, and up to 1TB of storage. The base model starts with 8GB and a 256GB SSD, while dual USB-C ports, HDMI 2.1, a 1080p IR camera, and Poly Studio-tuned audio cover the daily essentials.

The Battery Claim Comes With Context

HP rates the 60Wh battery for up to 42 hours, though that figure comes from local video playback rather than mixed real-world work. The brighter 2.5K OLED touchscreen is not due until March 2027, so the launch models make their case with portability, color, and unusually good display technology for the money.
