PlayStation Pulse Wireless Headset

Planar Sound Comes to the Standard Pulse

The new PlayStation Pulse Wireless Headset brings custom planar magnetic drivers to Sony's regular PS5 audio line. The larger drivers are designed for fuller bass without losing the separation that helps players place sounds in a game world. That makes this model a direct step up for anyone who wants the clearer audio approach introduced with Pulse Elite in a refreshed everyday headset.

One Headset, Two Connections

PlayStation Link provides low-latency audio for PS5, PlayStation Portal, PC, and Mac through the included USB-C adapter. A supported Bluetooth device can stay connected at the same time, so a phone call or other audio does not require swapping headsets. The integrated microphone uses AI-enhanced noise rejection to cut background sound from game chat.

A Simpler Sibling to Edge

The updated earcups rotate flat for easier carrying, and the headset comes in White or Midnight Black. It shares the family's core planar sound and dual-connection flexibility but leaves active noise cancellation and a detachable boom mic to the pricier Pulse Edge. Sony plans to launch it in select markets this holiday season, with exact price and preorder details still to come.
