The Soundboks Rider tries to put outdoor-party volume in a speaker that one person can move easily. At 14.3 pounds, it is the smallest and lightest model in the Soundboks lineup, yet it can reach a claimed 118 decibels. An integrated handle and optional strap make it more practical for carrying between a backyard, beach, or other temporary gathering spot.

Built for Dust, Splash, and Long Sessions

The Rider's IP66-rated housing has a steel grille and shock-resistant corners to handle rougher use than a typical living-room speaker. Its swappable battery is rated for up to 35 hours at moderate volume or about eight hours at full blast, and it charges over USB-C. The battery system is shared with other Soundboks products, so a spare can extend a session without waiting at an outlet. Those numbers make its portability more than a matter of weight alone.

Simple Controls, More in the App

A volume knob and auxiliary input cover the basics on the speaker itself. The companion app adds EQ adjustment, sound profiles, and a lock function. The Rider is available now for anyone who wants a grab-and-go setup but still needs sound that carries across an open space. Its strongest argument is the combination of volume, weather protection, and a battery you can replace when the gathering runs long.
