Apple Watch Ultra 4 pushes normal battery life to 50 hours, the clearest practical upgrade for hikers, endurance athletes, and anyone tired of daily charging. Low Power Mode stretches that figure to 84 hours, while a tracked outdoor workout can run for up to 45 hours in its most extended setting.
The new Health Sensing System measures heart rate every five seconds throughout the day and feeds higher-frequency heart-rate variability readings into a readiness score. Daytime vitals and recovery HRV give athletes more context for deciding whether today's plan should be a hard session or a lighter one.
The S11 chip powers Sound Recognition, faster Shazam, Live Rewind, and Siri Recap. Ultra 4 also keeps precision dual-frequency GPS and satellite communication for Emergency SOS, Find My, and Messages, preserving the features that distinguish it from the standard Apple Watch when the phone and cellular network are out of reach.
The 49mm case comes in natural or black titanium with new Trail Loop, Alpine Loop, and Ocean Band colors. Its large, bright display and rugged controls remain familiar, but longer battery life and denser health sampling make the fourth generation more useful between adventures as well as during them. Pricing starts at $799.
