The new Bose Sport Open Earbuds are built for a run where hearing the street matters as much as hearing your playlist. They use Bose's OpenAudio design, which plays without sealing the ear canal, and a cuff-style clip that sits around the ear instead of plugging it. Despite sharing a name with Bose's discontinued 2021 pair, this is a new fitness-focused model, not simply the old one brought back.

A Softer Grip for Moving Fast

Bose has given the clip a light silicone finish and says its C-arm stays put through quick head movements. Physical controls make more sense than delicate taps when you're sweating or wearing gloves, and IP54 protection covers dust and splashes. Custom drivers, Auto Volume, and multipoint connection round out the listening features. It is made for outdoor exercise, though the water rating does not make it a swimming earbud.

The Sport Pair in Bose's New Lineup

Battery life reaches seven hours in the earbuds, with another 22 hours in the wireless-charging case. The Sport model comes in Black or White Smoke for $199, with availability beginning October 1. Next to the pricier Ultra Open refresh, its case is simpler: a secure, comfortable fit and accessible controls for people who want music without shutting out their surroundings.
