The Yeti Finally Learns to Follow Your Voice

The Logitech G Blue Yeti 2 updates a USB microphone design that has stayed popular with streamers and podcasters since 2009. Its new 3D proximity sensor tracks where a speaker is sitting, then automatically changes gain, EQ and pickup pattern as that person moves.

Less Time Babysitting the Levels

Automatic gain and voice tracking are enabled out of the box, while an onboard AI denoiser targets keyboard taps, mouse clicks and other background noise. The goal is simple: clean up common recording problems before the user has to dig through audio settings. A redesigned three-capsule array captures at 24-bit/48 kHz and supports several directional modes.

A Tiny Yeti Runs the Display

A 1.3-inch color LED shows gain and pickup information through an animated Yeti mascot. Custom avatars can replace it through Logitech G Hub if the cartoon helper is not your style. The mic also includes a headphone-monitoring jack, capacitive mute button, physical control dial and storage for five presets.

A Familiar Desk Mic at $159.99

Black and white versions keep the recognizable desktop format while adding much more guidance for first-time users. The Yeti 2 does not ask everyone to become an audio engineer, which may be the smartest way to modernize such a familiar microphone.
