Marvel Legends Series: Cypher

The Mutant Who Understands Everything

Doug Ramsey's power is not a blast or a blade. As Cypher, he can understand any language, an ability that gives the New Mutants a very different kind of advantage. Hasbro's Marvel Legends figure brings that comics character into a six-inch-scale, fully articulated release, with the look drawn from his New Mutants and X-Men appearances.

A Sword for the Shelf

The figure comes with five accessories: four alternate hands and a Techno-Organic sword. Its poseable head, arms, and legs make it possible to show Doug in a quiet character pose or a more active one with the blade. That contrast suits Cypher, whose gift is about interpretation even when the display turns toward action. The comic-inspired costume and accessory choice distinguish him from the more familiar movie heroes in the same Target preorder event.

A New Mutant Joins Fall Geek-Out

Cypher is priced at about $27.99 and is offered exclusively through Target, with preorders opening September 18 at 9 a.m. ET and availability expected in fall 2026. It is intended for ages four and up. For a collection of X-Men and New Mutants figures, Doug fills a specific gap: the teammate whose unusual skill changes what a group can understand, not just how hard it can hit.
