A Carbon Racer for More Starting Lines
Nike Swooshfly brings the shape and snap of a plated racing shoe to runners who are entering their first event or chasing a personal best without buying the brand's most expensive model. It is designed for distances from 5K through the marathon, giving one shoe a broad race-day brief.
SkyX Foam Makes Its Debut
The midsole uses SkyX, a steamed TPU bead foam arranged in tuned densities around a tailored carbon Flyplate. Nike says the system returns 16 percent more energy than Vaporfly 4, a striking claim for the entry point in its new System of Speed.
Wider Where It Counts
A broader last and lower arch are intended to welcome more foot shapes, while the Vaporweave upper keeps the package light. A supercritical-foam sockliner adds another layer underfoot, and GOATEK rubber at the forefoot targets grip when wet roads make a fast corner less predictable.
The Accessible Member of the Trio
Swooshfly is the practical counterweight to Alphafly 4 and Apex. It launches first in China in February 2027 before a wider spring release, with a $145 price that puts carbon-plated racing much closer to standard trainer territory.
