New York's Nike Boot Gets Dressed Up

Public School has taken the Air Max Goadome, long known on East Coast streets as the "Nike Boot," and turned it into a double-monk-strap shoe. The result, called In-Security, keeps the Goadome's high, padded shape but replaces its familiar upper look with leather and two straps fastened by silver alloy buckles. It first appeared in the label's fall/winter 2026 runway show, where its boot-meets-dress-shoe character made immediate sense.

Air Units Beneath the Buckles

Designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne have kept visible Air units in both the heel and forefoot. The sole carries a lug pattern and Nike ACG branding, while an embossed Swoosh, Public School New York marks, and a metal clip finish the upper. Those details retain the model's city-ready utility even as the straps push it toward a sharper outfit. The Goadome's roots in New York workwear and street style are the reason this collaboration feels personal to the designers.

A Runway Idea for the Street

In-Security is priced at $320 and releases at 5 p.m. Eastern on September 17 alongside an original short film. It is a specific twist on a boot that has lived outside traditional sneaker culture for years. People who know the original may see the joke in dressing it up; people meeting it here get a sturdy silhouette with a surprisingly formal closure.
