Black Doves Season 2

Helen's Double Life Gets Even More Dangerous

Black Doves returns with Helen still passing national secrets to the covert organization that employs her. Her position grows more precarious as husband Wallace prepares to become prime minister, putting her espionage work frighteningly close to the center of government.

Mrs. Reed Is Under Attack

Sarah Lancashire's enigmatic handler is caught in a plot designed to weaken her place within the Black Doves. That threat reunites Helen with Sam, played again by Ben Whishaw. The former high-end assassin has slipped into lonely Soho drinks and low-paying jobs, but his oldest friendship pulls him back toward bigger trouble.

Old Loyalties Become Weapons

Their search for answers brings back friends and enemies while forcing both characters through decisions they thought were behind them. Keira Knightley and Whishaw lead a returning cast that includes Andrew Buchan and Kathryn Hunter, joined by Neve Campbell, Ambika Mod, Sam Riley and others.

Six Hours of Spy Fallout

Season 2 consists of six hour-long episodes written by creator Joe Barton. Rather than resetting after the first season's Christmas chaos, the new story makes those consequences personal and political, with Helen and Sam again fighting to protect the few people they still trust.
