Casio's FB100W keeps the angular digital-watch style associated with the F-91W, then adds just enough connected technology to make it more useful every day. It still looks like a simple Casio, not a miniature phone strapped to the wrist.

A built-in accelerometer counts walking and running steps automatically, with the daily total and goal progress visible on the LCD. The watch can store up to 200 lap times with its 1/100-second stopwatch, and a step reminder can nudge the wearer after a quiet stretch.

Bluetooth Without Smartwatch Baggage

The Casio Watches app handles automatic time correction, easy settings, activity history, world time for roughly 300 cities, and a phone finder. Pressing a button can also save the current time and location in the app, a handy marker for a walk or trip without adding a GPS-heavy sports watch.

Light Enough to Forget About
