A Moc Toe Made for Winter
Red Wing's Norway Moc takes the familiar six-inch moc-toe silhouette into colder, wetter territory. Originally developed for customers in Norway, it keeps the rugged heritage look but adds the traction, water resistance, and underfoot cushioning needed when the sidewalk turns slick.
Oro Russet Meets a Storm Welt
The upper uses water-resistant Oro Russet Taos leather, a warm reddish-brown material that will gain character with wear. A Norwegian storm welt is shaped to make water entry more difficult, while the padded Texon and Poron insole adds comfort beyond the firm's leaner traditional boot builds.
Lugs Replace the Flat Wedge
A Vibram TC4+ outsole gives the Norway Moc deep tread and stronger grip on snow and ice than Red Wing's classic Traction Tred wedge. The combination builds on the company's Roughneck idea, but the distinctive leather and welt make this a more weather-focused variation rather than a simple sole swap.
Heritage Style With a Harder Job
At $369.99, the Norway Moc is aimed at someone who wants one substantial boot for winter streets instead of a technical snow boot that gets packed away after the season. It is now available, and its repairable construction should matter long after the first winter has marked the leather.
