Novation FLpad

FL Studio Gets Its Own Playing Surface

Novation FLpad is the first full-size grid controller built specifically around FL Studio. Its 64 RGB-lit pads form an 8-by-8 workspace, with larger velocity-sensitive surfaces that can turn finger pressure and playing dynamics into more expressive beats and performances.

The Channel Rack Leaves the Screen

Novation worked with Image-Line on the firmware, interface, and DAW scripts, creating deep control of FL Studio's Channel Rack and sequencer. Dedicated buttons handle track creation, mode changes, navigation, and transport, so building a pattern can feel closer to using a standalone groovebox than clicking through software.

Custom Layouts Keep It Flexible

The Novation Components app can reshape the grid around a particular workflow. FLpad also works as a universal MIDI controller with other software and hardware, which keeps the $219.99 controller useful even when a project moves outside FL Studio.

Enough Software to Start Producing

The bundle includes six months of FL Studio Producer Edition, instruments and effects from UVI, GForce Software, and Klevgrand, plus Melodics finger-drumming lessons. The included tools make FLpad more than a box of shortcuts: it is a hands-on starting point for arranging, sequencing, and performing inside FL Studio.
