Gremlins 3

A Backpack Opens and Trouble Starts Again

The first teaser for the next Gremlins movie keeps things wonderfully small: one of the creatures climbs out of a backpack and announces "Uh oh!" It is a simple reminder that this series works best when something cute, portable and seemingly manageable turns into a disaster.

Chris Columbus Comes Back to the Rules

Chris Columbus, who wrote the original 1984 Gremlins, is directing the new film. He has pursued another entry for more than a decade, making this a return by one of the people who first balanced the franchise's creature comedy with genuine menace.

The Mogwai Are Still Keeping Secrets

Warner Bros. has not laid out the plot, cast or even a final title beyond the working Gremlins 3 label. The short reveal wisely avoids answering whether familiar characters return or what new mistake unleashes the creatures. For now, the backpack gag confirms the essential tone without spending a larger surprise.

Mischief Saved for the Big Screen

The film is planned as a theatrical release, bringing the franchise back to cinemas rather than treating it as a streaming-only revival. A long runway remains before opening night, but Columbus's return makes the project more than a name resurrected for nostalgia.
